Having worked for my business for several years, my position changed at the start of 2022 when I was appointed Deputy MD. At that point it seemed sensible to work with a coach and I was introduced to several to choose from. In the meantime, the situation changed as my MD left and I was put in the position of leading the business. Therefore, having an external person with whom I could discuss the situation and how I might progress to the full appointment of MD was hugely useful.
I spoke to several coaches and decided to work with Natalie. I had no previous experience of working with coaches so this was a step into the unknown. What made me choose Natalie was that she was here to work with me and make the most of my skills without fundamentally changing who I was. Natalie did not tell me how great she was and impress through her CV but gave me the reassurance that we could work together to achieve my goals. She was also extremely personable and easy to feel comfortable with.
Since we started working together there has been no shortage of things to discuss. I would occasionally come to our sessions with pressing issues while at other times our conversations evolved into other areas of relevance. This helped me deal with issues which I had no experience of and now gives me greater confidence in my new role, especially dealing with internal corporate situations.
After period of time, I was appointed to the role of MD and it had obviously been a great help having Natalie available during this process. What you have with Natalie is someone “in your corner” who can help discuss ways to deal with any situation. She is available at short notice and I genuinely believe she cares for her candidates!
